Yeah it was nice that it was free but they both insisted on me throwing it in the way it sat.

      WTF??? :idiot:

ok, so youve been getting your ass whooped by this car/engine for how long?

youre constantly complaining about money and whatnot, so what i mean by fuck it just throw it in, i mean hey it wont win all the races but at least youll be able to drive the piece of shit. i agree at some point if you cant fucking afford to do it the way it should be done- either get some stock fucking engine that runs or save up your pennies and buy something that someone capable has put together so you can have a little piece of mind.

I am a total hack, but last time i checked my car didnt inhale a fucking carb stud.:idiot::idiot:

its all in what you want for your car buddy, the sole reason my car is not on the road is because im not willing to sacrifice what i want to do to the car, just to get it out on the road. i will wait until i have everything done to my liking before it hits the road. i could put the engine in the car tomorrow if i wanted to.

That engine has been the bane of me for a long time. I admit it freely. That's why I posted that I am not even sure I want to do this hobby anymore.

Where have I complained about money on here? That is totally extraneous to this website and obviously people have big fucking mouths. Thanks for letting me know inadvertently who those people are.

I REFUSE to just throw in an engine that is literally covered in shit an 1/8 in. thick. Nope sorry.

I did do it right, and yeah an air cleaner stud ruined said dreams. Thanks.

We agree on somethings just not others. That's why I am taking my time again to correctly and make sure things are right.

Ya know Chad, RNV, all you guys. Seriously. I really enjoy this website and some of the best people I have ever met in my life have come from this very site. But at the same time I looked at the clock and had this epiphany of how much time we all waste on here. How many hours I have spent on here and I could have been working on my shit the whole the time instead of making this horrid thread and all the other ones. Lesson learned I will never do this again. You guys just keep on keeping on as Notch said. I apologize for not just throwing in the motor.

I am going to go now and work on my pile...

You mean like making fun of someone for wiring an msd box without a fuse?

no,I was merely pointing out that adding "any" electrical device to a car that is not protected by a fuse is foolish and unsafe.

just pointing out the obvious, sir.

I guess we'll never agree as to what "protected by a fuse" means.

you see when the positive wire going to the device does NOT have a fuse, the circuit is NOT protected. so if there were to be a direct short to ground somehow the wire would get very hot, then start on fire, which would then lead to other things starting on fire.......

it s very simple actually, what questions might you have?

oh i forgot, the msd box has a fuse, so its all good

You're right. They would never do anything like that from the factory and consider it acceptable.

So what is the rule then? How close to the battery does every fuse have to be located?

not aware of any certain rule. google?

closer to the battery the better so that if you did have some sort of problem the fuse would blow right away .

im going to bed, i will stop in tomorrow for more shenanigans.
