solid blinker on

In my 87 escort the right front blinker just stays solid when the lights are on, rear still works and its not the bulb. Any ideas? I believe it worked when I first got the car

Apparently the blinker works just fine with the lights off so its only when the lights are on

front bulb (or even rear, if any of them are dual beam) or the flasher blinker thingy in the fuse box. owner's manual will tell you which one it is.

Its not the flasher. The flasher either works or it doesn't. If the lights flash without the headlights then the flasher is fine. Its either a wiring problem or a bad bulb/bulbs. Id bet on the bulb though

Tried 3 bulbs, old and 2 new

either you have a bad ground by the light that doesn't flash or the turn signal/driving light wire are some how shorted together.

One last thing...Are you positive you have the correct bulbs?

I will check the wires when I get a chance.I believe when I pulled the light it did have wire crimps on it. Thanks
Yes that's what it came up in the system as, it also has the offset nubs so it can only go in one way.
