Fox neutral/park safety switch- which wire

Trying to get the car to fire up.

car was originally a 5-speed then a c4 now a TKO manual again.

there is a round 4 wire plug that goes to the trans.
anybody know what the color code is for the neutral safety switch wires? also what are the other 2 wires in the plug.

The TKO has a 2 wire plug coming out of the rear and a post with 2 connections on the side more toward the front of the tranny. anybody know which is for reverse lights and what is the other one?

for now I think I'm gonna either hook it up to start in neutral only if possible or have no safety switch at all.

    Thanks YO.

the plug on the tail shaft is the neutral switch and the one in the middle is the reverse lights. there is 2 wires for the neutral switch, 2 wires for the reverse switch and there is 2 wires that go to the speedo gear thingy.

If the car was originally a 5 speed car then the harness from the 5 speed to the body connector should have had a jumper wire in it. The jumper is where you'd have to splice in the neutral safety switch.

If that is the Silver Notch, it was never a C4 car. AOD..

I dont know if ltd still has it... but I gave him the conversion pigtail for the 5 speed. looking at the harness plug with the clip to the top. I think the 2 pins on the left are the nuetral saftey and the 2 on the right are reverse... I might be backwards... grab a volt ohm meter and find which one has power when key is turned. and jump it to the pin below it...

I have never had a tko so I cant help you there...

            Yep.

The 4 wire plug is the one that goes to the AOD tranny. The car is wired for an auto.

OH NOEZ this is a full street car with a mild 289.

and I don't need the safety switch. but I need to cross the right wires so the car will allow me to start it.

White/pink stripe and red/light blue are the color codes of the two wires at the connector the you're looking for

thanks. I pulled out the multimeter and tested an aod I had laying around. You are correct. the other 2 wires are the reverse lights trigger.

It's the blue-red wire IIRC. You can jumper it inside of the car, it's near the hole where the shifter mounts.
