Holy crap 63% Gross Profit! That is highway robbery. I don't think we've ever made $100 on any starter we've ever sold. Wow, now I don't blame you for being mad at them. Hopefully there was some kind of mis-understanding, like hopefully he *meant* to say that is *less than* our cost but if not, that's just not right. I'm curious to know, which Napa store is this we're talking about? Not because I am going to tell anyone, but I am just very curious.

Well I don't exactly care to divulge it publicly. All I can say is they have been reaping the community for years and acted like two year olds when Advanced opened. Still are.

Funnier yet about 10 years ago three high school kids were given an oppertunity to own 10% of the store. They took out huge loans and have worked there every since. Just to own 10% and still have a boss.

I won't step foot in there but my friend went in for a brass fitting. One of the 10% owners looked at him, didn't even look at the part and said "Ha, good luck" and walked away. It was a standard banjo bolt.

Another friend went through 3 count them 3 "New" torque converters in 450 miles for his 2001 dodge pickup. He was not happy at all. Dd they offer to cover any of his labor enev when asked?? Nope. He is a self employed deisel mechanic and a very, VERY good wrench.

Honestly if the store was run by human beings I would buy NEW parts there. No remaned. Personally. IMO.

I actually hope they will go out of business, but they won't. Farmers, truckers, and a few shops in the area keep them going. At least Advanced leveled the playing field.

FYI napa carries bosch and delphi fuel pumps as well.

Just to clarify things for you none of the rotors you have are made in the US anymore. You may be getting some from Canada, Mexico, or Argentina but not the US. If you have some that are on your shelf or you are getting them from your distribution center they are old stock. You also don't have any rotors that are made from noise dampened iron anymore. Right now Napa has over 100 SKU's made from noise dampened iron. If the OEM used it, we use it. I know your brake rotor program very well...just to clarify things for you.

1st hand expierance! Before I knew N.k.A ClassicMOPAR was on the board I was bringing alt's to this store. actually there is 1 type-Oh. mysterious fruit colored car went mid 8's not 9's!!!! I even know of cars with 4,000 watt stereos running his alt's. That would be my truck I drive on a daily basis. Timmy has been plowing for years and years off his alt's. And those trucks get worked! 505rwhp, 1400 rwtq, 2 tqconvt's and 3 trannys later...still 1 rebuilt alt.
