I'm looking a buying a new block for my car, I'm just wondering whats the difference between the dart 302 Sportsman and the Ford Racing boss 302 other than the boss is a couple hunderd less.

Someone on the internet told me that the boss block has shorter cylinders than normal 302 blocks, so that a 347 stroker would be a problem. It seemed impossible to me that Ford would mess up like that. Has anyone around here seen the Boss block? Are the cylinders short?1970 Mustang convertible 302/C4

I wouldn't consider buying a boss over a dart and i'd do the full set of billet 4 bolt caps and run a full pan. All if I had more than a pot to piss in of course. but then again If I built an aftermarket blocked motor it would never be a SBF.Mustangless!
