CR was a speculation until 2 posts ago so you were guessing. Timing is not off, you missed that part. You havent been folllowing along very well have you?

what is the part# in the pistons? and it is 40 over? dish pistons are hard to come by for a 351w.

I bought the Motor, trans and transfer case for $300... Sold off transfer case and trans for $300...

A stock 351w piston is close to -11.7 but most aftermarket are -3 to -6 flat tops and if it is 40 over the cr might be higher than you think. I don’t know why someone would put dish pistons in it, well forced induction or NOS but it was a cheap motor so…. Need more info.

I thought big NOS engines were lower compression like 8.5-9 to 1? Are you talking 500 or 50?
"If you take an engine that has 10:1 compression it will handle say 150 hp of nitrous, before detonation becomes a problem.
If you raise the compression to say 12:1 it may only handle 50 hp before detonation, whereas if you lower the compression to say 8:1 it may handle 500 hp."
