Honestly, I've gotta go a couple more times by myself to start getting back into shape! I could barely keep up when I was I my best shape! For example, I did one lap at carver last weekend and was SORE. That's just 5 miles! I'm riding today and/or tomorrow. Hopefully I'll be back soon!

We could go to Theo Wirth! That's a pretty short trail. I don't care how fast we go. So if you're open to biking with others, let me know.Originally posted by thom1301 View Post

The Cuyuna Whiteout is next weekend... That is a fatbike ride/event that I recommend no matter what kind of shape you are in.Originally posted by NickThe choice is easy.

I haven't raced, but last weekend when riding on my Bud/Nate combo, a guy on Larry/Endo asked how i liked the combo, and I answered "well, I'm still getting used to the snow, but I've never once wished for less rolling resistance!"Originally posted by SAMSONite View PostI learned 2 things about racing this winter. I think im going to sell my tires for something more aggressive this summer.Originally posted by thom1301 View PostI haven't raced, but last weekend when riding on my Bud/Nate combo, a guy on Larry/Endo asked how i liked the combo, and I answered "well, I'm still getting used to the snow, but I've never once wished for less rolling resistance!"
Yeah, actually this is where most people enter onto the trail from who live in Minneapolis/St. Paul. Starting from the Sibley house, you basically take the road down to the bottom of the hill and on the right there is a tunnel under a rail road bridge. You cross under and turn left onto the trail. You can ride all the way out to 169 if you want. There and back is around 38 miles.Originally posted by thom1301 View PostAy of you guys ever ridden starting from the Sibley house in Mendota Heights? Trying to find fun places to ride closer to downtown St. Paul!
One of the guys I road with told me he once did an off road century ride starting from the Sibley house and working his way all the way down to Belle Plain. Once he reached 169, he road mostly snowmobile trails and double track to get there.
Another cool spot to explore is under Fort Snelling. There are tons of trails to ride and tons of exploring to do down there. Lately i've been riding the edges of the Mississippi. Its pretty awesome being down there and quite unlike anything i've ever ridden. I HIGHLY recommend getting out an exploring the Mississippi!

Theo was pretty soft tonight. Probably more challenging conditions than what you guys had, since we hit it at the end of a warm day. However, my Nates were gripping great. Scott was floundering all over the place on his Husker Don'ts. Had to wait up for him a couple of times, which isn't normal for me. Poor guy. Told him to save the Don'ts for the summer and pick up a Nate/Bud combo for the snow.Originally posted by NickThe choice is easy.

Me and Anne didn't have too much trouble really, but I was running 1psi and I think I learned the rules on diminishing returns.
From Minnehaha Falls parkway. I usually take the path down to where it leads to the dog park.Originally posted by thom1301 View PostHow do you access these trails?
