      It's stutter.

We went out for Nachos on the sleds tonight and filled the sleds up with some premium non-oxy, too. It was just the wife and I with our 4 year old. He tooled around on the 120 while I snowblowed the driveway when we got home.

      'Twas a pretty fun night.

Do one change, ride it, than do the other. Don't do them at the same time. This way you'll understand what made what difference and where. Don't just pin it and say the needle is in the perfect spot, because it's not doing a damn thing WOT.

it sux down low too.. I have to have the idle needle all the way out for it to even start... and it barely idles, if I try and turn the idle screw in it dies.

Is it a air, or a fuel screw?

Im pretty sure it opens up the blades by pushing down on the throttle attachment, so that be fuel... There is one on the side but I dont know what that does.

Nah, I have it tuned via EGT's for 91 octane non-oxy and cracked carb boots.

#1 is the one for idle and #2 I dont know what it does.

#2 is the ones i turned out last year to get that stumble off idle. Im thinkin its a fuel screw, but im not sure.

yes that is the fuel screw. if you turn it out and it runs, but won't run when it's turned in, you need to up the pilot jet.

read my post again you tool. i stated right in there that it controls the transition from idle circuit to main circuit. TRANSITION bi-yotch!

I had to turn those out 3 or 3.5 turns on his last year just to get the lean bog out of it, that is a bit much i thought, but it worked. he may need to up his pilots like you said.

well, here is what I got from a guy on the sled forum..

As far as the two knobs you pointed out, #1 is the idle speed adjustment. Turning clockwise raises both slides, increasing the idle. Counter clockwise lowers the slides, slowing down the idle. #2 is the low speed fuel screw. There is one on each carb. They effect low speed only (idle to about 1/4 throttle). Turning them in leans it off, turning them out makes it richer. Stock setting is usually 1 1/2 turns out.

The needles are #29 in the picture. They effect low to about 3/4 throttle. Raising the needles up makes it richer, lowering makes it leaner. Needles on round slide carbs had different clip position to adjust them. But on flat slide carbs like yours, they only have one position. To raise them up you have to add a shim under the clip. They come with one shim from the factory, so make sure you don't lose it if you take them apar
