How much of a pain is it to do it?
Anyone change phone companies and keep your old number?

When I switched to T-Mobile from Unicel (bought out by Verizon) and kept my number it was actually a big pain in the ass. Unicel would not release it for whatever reason, when I called to ask them what the hold up was, I was actually bitched at for switching to the point where I hung up on the "Customer Service" rep and called T-Mobile. They took care of it but I was having a lot of issues.1987 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera

I'm guessing this was before 2006 when the LNP act took effect?Originally posted by xjfish View PostWhen I switched to T-Mobile from Unicel (bought out by Verizon) and kept my number it was actually a big pain in the ass. And FYI, always deal with the company that you're porting to, not fromDear Government, eventually the people with money will tell you to fuck off, and stop paying for those that don't work

Yes it was probably '05. I believe T-Mobile asked me to have "Unicel" do something, I was bitched at, called T-Mobile back, they took care of it.1987 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera
