Honestly I don't blame them for getting mad. Just think of all the losers they have to deal with that have no intention on paying. I hope there are allot of cold people this winter.

Well it is simple, the people with no intent on paying should get disconnected... I pay, I pay on time and I don't deserve to spend 1-2 hours on the phone to deal with this kind of hassle.

I am a busy person like most those that have jobs and pay bills. The people who don't pay bills have the time to shoot the shit with the bill collectors, I dont.

I have been late on a bill with Excel and didn't get shit but my ex Girlfriend is subleasing a place and had a guy pounding at her door just last week over a $95 bill (one month) . Maybe they need the cash

When I worked for $CableCo, you could check payment history. Most 1st level phone jockeys can't/don't know how to check. they're just assigned to call. There are people that are so clueless when it comes to payments. I've dealt with customers that swear up and down on their mothers graves that 'the check is in the mail', yet account notes have stated that for over 4 months. Xcel averages something like $30-40 Million in past due balances.... I guess this year averages have been as high at $70 million
