    dealer service rant...

    I made an appt. at a ford dealership in the NW metro yesterday MORNING.
    3:15 pm 05/05/08

    They gave me a loaner for 1 day. They told me they had plenty of time
    to get it done since service is open till 2am.

    They were "starting on it" at 10am this morning.

    Why did I make an apptointment again?

    I have been to Freeway Ford, and just waited. They got right on it.

    Anyone else have horrible stories about said dealership on 169 by 694?

    diaper? you're talking about a ford dealership here... 90% of those cars that are ahead of you... they never even figured out what was wrong. they just shake sticks at and hope they come out ok. I've never seen a ford dealership fix anything but a broken valve stem.

      Superior went way down hill after brookdale bought them out. I've stopped going there just because I didn't care for the way the original superior employees were screwed over.

        Same thing happened at Burnsville Honda. Thane Hawkins sold it to Walser and all the Thane Hawkins people got fucked. Walser basically kept asking more and more from them while taking more and more away until they achieved their goal. Complete house cleaning. Man i hate corporate america.

              I dont watch what you say about superior-brookdale ford there a few members on this board that work for them in the service dept that would not like you bad mouthing them and the way they work.if you such a problem why dont you fix it your self.

                I dont work there but have worked for a few diff dealers and they are all the same for appts as far as I know. Your appt time is to speak w/ and advisor. If they dont set appt times its chaos in the service drive area cause 20 people will show up at once. The advisor shouldve called you and told you they are behind though and kept you up to date. When you set a appt and tell the person you are waiting, they try to work the rest of the schedule around the waiting appts as well as getting the drops offs at least diagnosed and fixed if poss. Most dealers and aftermarket shops are the same and its the only way to keep it from techs standing around.

                      Good call. If the dealership gives shitty service on something under warranty, you should most likely fix the problem yourself.

                      You should probably open your own franchise. With an attitude like that, how could you NOT succeed!?
