Every site seems to be playing the quote out of context, so I'm not sure if he was literally talking about an ability to read proficiently or making a point about education in general. Either way, it sounds like the point he was trying to make could have be made with a little more tact.
One thing I am sick of though is people in the army acting like it's full of goddamn rocket scientists. Are there smart people in the army? Yes, of course. Are there complete morons who I'm impressed can dress themselves in the morning? Yes. It's not the ASVAB is like the LSAT or MCAD, it's easier than a GED test for Christ's sake.Comment
