When we have huge watermain breaks, ones that supply more than a thousand people, putting them out of water (which has only happened once or twice in my 8 years at this place) I've worked 2-3 days straight and then came in and did follow ups for about a week after of 16 hour days.
After the first 24 hours your up you go into auto pilot. Sometimes you catch a 30minute nap waiting for supplys, another truck ect... Its not fun especially when what you do is physically demanding. We're not actually supposed to work more than 16 hours at a time, I kinda snuck those ones in under the radar.
People say the paychecks are great, all i saw was more taxes being taken out. I havent done one in a couple years.. and am probably not going to voulenteer for one again either.

Yeah no shit. They take more taxes out of my weekly check than I used to take home in 2 weeks. Then they ask us to do extra trucks if we are willing to stay on the weekends. F that.Originally posted by CorinthiansBlackGT View Post

I only work between 40-50 hours a week at the office , but I am always working. My phone is always on and always ringing. OH there it goes again. Gotta go.It is a damn poor mind indeed which can't think of at least two ways to spell any word.
