The easiest thing to do is check for the water mark, the part that cant be duplicated. At UWA, we had a meeting about this about a month ago, i guess conterfitting is becoming more of a problem.
But easiest way to tell if its real, for 50's and 100's is hold it up to light and look for the face water mark.
Apparently people have been taking smaller denominations and removing the ink from the paper and printing larger bills.

You ever make 150k per year? LOL, j/k we all know you're way too dumb to achieve this.
One day we were bored and work and used that marker to see if anything else would make it write yellow, there was only one other thing we found...skin.
conclusion= our money is printed on thinly cut human skin
..is to bleach a 5 and then print it as a hundo.. the pen picks up the paper but you'll see jackson in ink and lincoln in the watermark.. But if you take it to the bank the machine will only count it as a 5... great way to lose out on $95...
