    DWI ?

If someone gets a dwi in mn. at over 2.0 does it count as two dwi's to the state? Say someone gets a second dwi after having a dwi that was twice the limit would he lose his car on the second one??( no I didn't get a dwi)
    "Uh oh, that ain't good!"

Almost correct. Anything over 0.20 is double the fines and double the penalties. It is more or less worth 2 DWI's in one.

        Dirty is kinda wrong.

I've been through the drinking system.

now the legal limit is .08.

If you blow above .20 then it counts as a Gross misdameanor rather than a standard misdemeanor.

the penalties for a gross is much worse than for a standard. higher fines and more probation time as well as possible jail time and automatic loss of liscence for 6or12 months rather than 1 month.

So people consider it as 2 dUIs because
If a person gets 2 dUIs at below 0.20 then it's a gross misdameanor on the second but if another person gets 1 dui above 0.20 then it's a gross misdameanor.

Also if a person get's 1 DUI at above .20 and a second then they can charge you with a felony.

I'm not sure on the 0.20 though. It might be 0.16 now

Still just 1 dwi not 2.

I blew a .21 at the station but ordered a blood test which took 3 hours for the lady to get there.. When the results came back it was a .19. So, I got lucky and they used the .19 in court. So, it counted as one.

              Ya, I know.

He said does it count as 2.

It is only 1 charge and 1 crime commited. but the penalties are the same as getting 2 at below 0.20.

              let's agree to disagree.

If someone is at .20 or higher for their first and they get a second DWI or DUI within 10 years now they can be charged with a FELONY!!! Ouch!!!! A gross misdameanor will net u 6 months with no license and lots of jail time and fines!!!! A second offense plus a first offense at .20 or higher within 10 years is NO GOOD....FELONY!!!!!
No license for at least 1 year and LOTS of jail time and fines; so someone told me

Thats fine but according to the state it's 1 dwi not 2.

yep, basically it fuchs your life for some time. It's just something that cannot be done nowadays.

A person could drive around fuched out of their mind on coke and a cop would let them go 10 out of 10 times.

If a cop pulls a person over who had 2 beers it'll smell it on your breath and make you do 15 minutes of monkey tricks on the side of the road Every fuching time. This is just reality in 2007.

As they should, if a person can't stop drinking and driving go get help for the problem you have.
