Now this guy should be in jail. He was carrying a gun without a permit. Now lets not argue about what should or shouldn't be the law for a second, that would be pointless. Lets just look at the facts. Even IF he did have a permit he would be in jail right now. He shot some kid who was walking away from him. His life was not in imminent danger. Does anyone know why he did this? He did it so he could potentially get his money back. You can't shoot someone for money. But guess what? If he had a permit, he would have had to take a class. In that class he would have learned the specific laws on the use of deadly force.

Bottom line is this guy went to jail because he is a dumbass. I do not agree with all of the laws out there, but I do follow them for the most part because I don't want to go to jail.

The last I heard the kids were going to jail. I don't know why they wouldn't be. The old guy was a victim until he shot an unarmed kid who was walking away from him and posing no threat to his life. THAT is illegal and that is why he went to jail. If it were up to me you could shoot someone for trying to rob you, but that is not what the law says. Just because you don't agree with a law doesn't make it invalid.

That logic is so wrong it hurts. Stores should decapitate all shop lifters because they might get away never to be seen again if they don't. No, getting away with a crime is not justice, but you don't get to supersede all laws if you are a victim of a crime.

Vigilantism doesn't work. You cannot go around illegally carrying guns and shooting any criminals that might get away.

NOTHING he has done has been deemed *illegal*. You can keep repeating that until you're blue in the face. Until it's been upheld in a court of law, he's done absolutely nothing wrong.
