    your arguments contradict themselves.
you think you know which vehicles are more reliable and are trying to argue this to people that actually fix cars every single day, are professionals at what they do, oh but i should listen to you about car reliability because you read some reports on the internet.

also you say that the only reason that companies use big three cars is due to discounts that toyota wouldn't give (which you don't know), but just previously you said that toyota has SUCH better resale, well the fleet companies obviously take resale into account also.

all GM and ford vehicles have problems that start surfacing at 50k+ miles that jap cars don't get!!! shit i better sell all 3 of my fords even though i haven't had a problem with any of them and they all have over 100k.

I love when people comment on a truck they've never driven, ridden in or seen besides commercials. same jackasses that comment on vehicles they've never driven or could possibly have the means of owning. if you dont have a valid input on a topic why blast it with dribble about how you heard from a friend of a friend of a friend that's uncle had one that was a problem vehicle. it's pathetic how many threads of dribble one must sift through to even read something an owner of said vehicle has said.

I've never had a problem with a titan pulling sleds through michigan, had a chev truck blow up on the way, ford tranny went out so speaking from experience they can sure as hell tow better. and my neighbor actually is a contractor with a tundra and it's sure as hell leaps and bounds better then his 04 F350 PowerJoke. that pile was in the shop more then the Z34 his wife drives.

What is even better is when people compare a 3/4 ton or a 1 ton truck to a 1/2 ton truck of a different company. They are made for different things so of course the more heavy duty ones will be able to do more.

right because guys fixing cars everyday definitely have a better idea of reliability than say... someone who compares MILLIONS of vehicles. A mechanic won't see in his lifetime the statistics those reports are taking into account...

Phillop Morris for one example generaly runs thier vehicles to aprox 50,000+ miles although is actualy based on time, and not milage, that just seems to be an average milage at when the time frame has ended.
This is 100% correct. Fleets purchase vehicles based off the overall potential profit of the vehicle during its service life with the fleet. GM/Ford/DC are still the more popular brands for leasing because of their potential to turn a profit. Also, many manufacturers give the fleet companies an unwritten extended warranty, that means a lot when looking to purchase a fleet of a couple hundred vehicles.

hypothetical question; implied putting yourself in the place of a worker for either company... next time i'll know to explain things in detail...

im sure it could tow more for grunt work but, pulling 4 sleds to michigan fell on it's face.

compared to the big 3, the wages and benefits at toyota add up to about 2500 bucks less per car...

imagine working at walmart when you know target pays their employees 2500 bucks more for every 20,000 worth of items they sell... no one likes to be paid less than what they could make doing the same thing at another company.

i know, rough analogy, but should get the point across...
