Nascar Tarck To Be Built In MN

My Parents signed up to be a Delegate in the republican party (Formulate what you want republican to try to consider). They Had fround out through Dick Day And North Carolina's Senator Mchenry, They have been talking with Richard Petty about getting a Nascar track in Minnesota. Dale Jr is also in the boat to get a track here in MN. Where is unknown yet but it's on the table to get a track here. Just thought I'd Throw this Information out there even though I am sure a few of you don't really care for nascar but I figure this may be a possibility for non race days to possibly use the track!/? Not sure on this one either but it's a possibility.

Never gonna happen. Richard Petty and Dale Jr. have nothing to do with building race tracks. Unless it was ISC (Nascar) or SMI (Bruton Smith) leading the charge, it's nothing to get excited about.

MN is famous for "Sounds great, but not in my backyard" politics. There isn't one city that would allow the land for a big noisy racecar track.

There was a proposal for a road course up by North Branch. NASCAR = teh gheyness.

MN would be complete idiots not to build a super speedway... One race would bring in more revenue than all of the vikings and twins for a season combined... With the Mall of America being a huge attraction for the Mrs., and all the other tourist attractions, our state has their heads too far up there asses to think about a track. Let alone the sponsors Headquarted in the state ie. Wells Fargo, 3M, Polaris, Arctic Cat, General Mills, and many others. If they could buy some land from a farmer and make a nice big ass track in a town near a small airport, I would guarantee big results. Bulldoze a few meth farms west of here near 212 where you have 4 lanes of traffic all the way to the airport and major interstates... Sorry for the rant, I think you guys are right though, the Democrats would have their knickers in a twist so fast they would cry even louder.

True a track would bring in alot of revenue nowhere near the combined seasons of those teams, maybe if we got a major event or multiple events like the Daytona 500. But there are 2 things to consider: 1 the short season up here and 2 too many tree huggers here.
