Carp Pegs the Dyno at HiTech….

A Big thanks goes out to Brian at HiTech for his extensive help on the chassis dyno last night.

En route to testing at BIR, we brought Carpenter’s Super Street Outlaw 10.5 Cobra to HiTech for some tuning on the dyno.

After a couple of quick pulls and a few adjustments, Carp’s turbo Stang flat lined the dyno at 1200hp multiple times, and once the tune up came around at only 120mph (first time was at 161)….so there was a lot more there, only the HP Gods really know how much. Brian @ HiTech was a huge help and stayed with us until the wee hours of the morning making sure we got every last bit out of the tune up.

I saw Brian's car for the first time at WFC last year, and I can tell you there is not a finer built race car on planet earth than that monster. Every inch of that car is perfect, and the attention to detail is incredible.

That is the biggest turbo Ive ever seen on a car.

i remember reading an article in 5.0 or MM&FF a year or 2 ago about one of the NMRA/FFW tours where while they were announcing the race that was going on they were drowned out but the sound of a car being dynoed at one of the vendor booths along side of the track. the announcer stopped what he was saying and said "holy shit who is that??!" and went on to say "oh figures its just Dan Glidden breaking another dyno", that would be awesome ..
