It was a lot more than 6 months ago I have been working on this for years and I guarantee I know more about personal finance than most people here. I am not being presumptuous. Most people do not have a clue how broke they really are. I couldn't care less what anyone does with there money, but when you are a dink on the web like Mark, I am not going to let it go (too much fun to rile him up). I do believe that Credit Cards are a bad thing for everyone. I do think borrowing money because you think you are being savy with money is a fools errand. I do know that most people are broke and in debt and will fight to defend their stupidity. Mark was advising people to play silly games with debt and being a dink when I proved his folly. So I played a long. At the end of the day I really don't care, go ahead and be broke. Assuming more than half the people on this site have their shit together is an amazing leap.

Credit cards were not a problem for me. I had car loans and loans on toys like boats, wheelers, and what not. I had one credit card I used for online purchases. That has been cut up and cancelled for 6 years. Never carried a balance, but once I educated myself, I realized it had no place in a good financial plan so I got rid of it and have never missed it.

I'm sorry, but you are 100% wrong. Credit cards are not a bad idea. I've had about 5 CC's since 2003. I never paid any interest on them or any card until 2 months ago, when I was late with a payment. It just slipped my mind. I got nailed with a 25.00 late charge and had like 40.00 in interest tacked on. So in 12 years, the only interest I have had to pay was 65.00, and it was my fault. If you use your card like you use your bank card, not only do you get free money from the CC company, but the fraud protection on my CC is light years ahead of my bank card. I never even use my bank card. Just use a CC, and pay it off at the end of each month. No getting into trouble.

I have received thousands of dollars in gift cards from my CC company for Best Buy, Amazon, and Home Depot just by using my card to pay for shit I would have bought anyways. My Dryer and Dishwasher were almost paid for just by using my points at Best Buy. Plus you build credit which is 100% necessary if you want to buy a car/home/anything without getting raped in the asshole by high interest payments because you decided to live off grid with your credit. You know how it is. No credit? You get high interest. Good credit? Low interest. Unless you are so smart you do not need credit to live, this isn't meant for you. But let's be real. This doesn't apply to the majority of the people out there.

Dispute that all you want, but it's 100% the truth and I see no downside to it. Credit establishment. Free shit. Fraud protection. No payment to the CC company unless you're late.

Here's what I do not understand. You are telling us all how to be accumulate wealth, but you're doing it in a complete fuck face sort of way. Not a good idea to make broad sweeping accusations about how most people on here are broke or bad with money when basically, let's face it, you have no idea. When you do that, no one is going to take you serious. Because no one wants to be talked down to like they're a fucking retard. Oh wait can I say retard anymore? No one wants to be talked to like they're mentally challenged, which is what you're doing. It's almost like you fingered a woman the first time and are trying to give us lessons on how to do it better.

Now if you're trolling, good job.

Let it be known that I tried. I never did in the past, but I've been trying to be a nicer, friendlier Stormwalker, giving people the benefit of the doubt. And see? This is what happens. This is why one shouldn't try. You can't make stupid poor people not be stupid poor people. It's kind of frightening. I mean look, these people are all walking around and doing things and everything! I mean, who the fuck takes out a goddamned loan on a four wheeler?

Yes, we're going to make fun of trailerparkjohn for not being responsible enough to even have a credit card. But it's because he deserves it.

Well, it sounds like you need the financial services of TRAILERPARKJOHN. He is statistically 23% guaranteed to know more about personal finance than most anyone here. He can advise you to obtain loans for your recreational vehicles, and cut up your credit cards because only rich people have the discipline to use them responsibly. He'll totally be able to retire at 50 for real, and can show you how to do it through debt mismanagement as well.

Lmao you beat me to the four wheeler part. Who the fuck takes out a loan on. Four wheeler lmao!!!!
                  Or a boat.
A car I can understand as its damn near a necessity in most parts of the country and an essential tool for commuting to and from work. But a boat and four wheeler are toys! Luxury items that if not paid for in full have no business being financed. How much interest did you pay on your four wheeler lmao!!!
This tool is talking like he's some financial mogal and he financed......an atv? That's classic.

I am proud to say I've never once in my life bought a lottery ticket in any form. I'd bet my bottom dollar, or all my points lol that hazzard has. Does he really rock a trailer? Those are sweet. For me to poop on.

There's a lot of overlap I think. Note how trailerparkjohn is adamant about how the credit card companies use [unspecified] tactics to MAKE you spend more money AGAINST YOUR WILL. EVERYONE ELSE is trapped in and exploited by the system, but only trailerparkjohn knows the TRUTH. He is superior to everyone else since he "knows things" that they do not. Just like how 9/11 conspiracy theorists feel superior "knowing things" that the "sheeple" do not.

These are usually people on the lower rungs of society. They have no real importance, and feel as though they have no real control over their lives. So, they create a (make believe) scenario in which they feel above everyone else. It's how they cope with the reality of most people being above them in their work and personal lives. However, it's pretty hard to feel sorry for these people, as when they believe they have a slight amount of imaginary power, they become incredibly arrogant and emotional. Likely a reason they don't have any power or control over their actual lives.

This thread delivered. It had a bit of everything.

                              What happens now?!

                              Place your bets!

                              He will come back and:

                              1. say he trolled us.
                              2. say TCS is a bunch of stupid, ignorant, broke idiotheads.
                              3. Play it off like nothing happened at all.
                              4. Never come back.

                              I choose #2

I did think it was a little dumb to be calling everyone out how you're so much better.. When you yourself are just digging yourself out of what sounds like a nasty hole.

It's like some junky just getting out of rehab on day one and declaring he has all the answers and everyone else is a bunch of weak druggies because they have a beer or coffee. All you've proved is that you've been super irresponsible with your money. I bet most here have been going good all along when you've been living beyond your means but now you're the super expert and some kind of financial planner?. If that's true please smack your students and tell them paying you money was a test and they failed miserably. Your obsession with the millionaire status symbol is very weird and says you're still chasing something, trying to impress the jones', just like with the repo ATV.
