Replace garage door springs

That is what I was thinking, but many people are telling me it is super dangerous and I'll kill myself. LOL

A secondary reason for having someone come out is to get a quote for a new door after the wife tried to back out without opening the door and cracked a panel. I also want to see what it would cost to have an opener installed on my big shop door.

If the spring estimate is too high, I'll just tackle it myself and try to not injure anyone.

Action Overhead did mine, springs and cables for $200. I didn't feel like screwing with it.

That's who I got my doors through, installed price was about the same as what I could have bought the doors myself for at Menards.

driveway material doesn't match. lots of dirt around the edges. and the garage is different colors in those pictures so probably a fake anyway.

I'm like my springs....broke.

That is why I did tar and not cement (plus I needed something quick and didn't have time to get cement in there and cured). The dirt is because those are pictures from when it was built and there is grass all around now.

This picture was before I bought the Taurtus. I don't even have a picture of the Taurtus except for me taking a hammer to it. The wife couldn't believe I was hitting the car with a hammer so she took a picture (I attempted some amateur PDR work)



Local contractor (reference from a friend) is servicing my door tonight and giving me quotes on a new door for the house and an opener for the shop. Thanks TCS.

I am a bit disappointed in you. Figured a man with your strength would not only take the springs off but add some steel plate to the door.
