I use WF and have for years and have never had any real issues with them, yes I hate how they always push other services on me but I just say no. As Tony mentioned I love the fact I can deposit checks from my phone, its the best thing since sliced bread! I keep an eye on my account all the time, maybe if the op paid some attention he would have caught this fee the first month............

I had a similar issue with Wells Fargo. A couple years back, they said I needed to keep a higher minimum balance or they were going to charge me $15/mo on my checking account. I told them I did not need their services and told them I would be closing all my accounts and they somehow waived it. If it wasn't my oldest financial account and that I hopefully should be buying a house, I would have closed it.

Most of my banking is with US Federal CU now. They are the largest CU in Mn and I have always gotten great loan rates and service.

Wings financial also has mobile app/photo deposit, never tried the check deposit though.

I use this feature with Wings quite often - It works great. Snap photo of the front & back, retain check for 2-days processing, and I'm good.

I have TCF. Been with them since 2001. I use their Billpay, and all of my checks get to where they needs to be, on time, every time.

I highly recommend, especially since they had to deal with me.

I've heard good things about Affinity Plus. I bank with Bremer, meh, they are ok I guess. I liked my old local bank better. I took out a loan for home improvement purposes last year through Bremer and I really couldn't find a better rate at any local credit union at the time, I'll give them that.

that is true for entry level accounts but I know my "platinum" us bank account requires much more money to stay in the account to get all the perks they offer. The more money you let them hold on to the less money they want to take from you.
