Glad to see Thome return to this Indians. Was fun to watch him here, but it seems fitting that ends his great career where it all began!

Same here. Pretty much the only two places I would have liked to see him go to were the Indians or the Phillies. And since it would be near impossible that he make it all the way through waivers to the phillies the indians were pretty much the only real possibility.

emphasis on sports is a waste of time

I find the emphasis on sports vs. other matters to be a fascinating shift in culture over the past 25 years. I find debating sports to be a waste of MY time. People can puruse[sp] their intersts[sp] as they like and I fully support that just as I support the expression of opinion. I can express my opinion as I like too. Neither is an indictment of Tony's interest.
