so thome and kubel are gone.
so just to recap.. the twins have no outfield, no infield, no starting pitching, a very weak bullpen... oh but they have 2 big buck star players that won't play anywhere near a full season and are over-rated.
it's mind blowing just how they got to this point, so quickly too!
oh and our minor league teams are tapped for anyone coming up, they're all out on the twins field right now!!
the thome deal makes sense, some post season team could use him and we don't need him the rest of the year. i liked kubel, he probably has more rbi's and homers than 7 and 33 combined.
twins get to join the rest of the shitty mn teams.

teams have 48 hours to work out a deal. I'm happy for Thome, he gave us 2 good years, hope he gets a ring if the trade goes through. Sucks about Kubel, I liked him, but we'll have to see what we actually get in return. We need pitching bad. I'd have been happier if they dumped Capps, that tool has cost us too many games this year. The outfield isn't in that bad of shape, we've still got Cuddy and Revere has shown promise. We'll see what happens in the offseason, getting rid of Thome, Young, Kubel, Capps, maybe even Nathan will free up a bunch of money and hopefully management will go after a couple great pitchers.
