    Looking for an LS engine.....

First, do they share the same style bell housing as the older 350 blocks? I will be using a 700r4. This motor will get only a cam and will more than likely see a turbo.

This is a serious thread, what is the best LS engine for me to make power on a budget?

Newer would be better, I think. However, you could search the int3rw3b also...

'99+, but the '99-'00 had iron heads. That's the LQ4, 300 hp. LQ9 is found in the Escalades/Silverado SS and good for 345 hp due to flat top pistons and 10:1 compression ratio.

So... the LQ4 would be more ideal for a couple pounds of boost?

Fuck no, A Camaro, god would smite that bastard piece of shit.

I will only do a ford in a ford and a chevy in a chevy. Getting rid of the 350, owner wants port injection and boost, also a stock short block that will handle it.

5.3 or 6.0 doesnt matter, either one will create more power stock than anything youve ever driven.

Good, should make this easy. Same old bolt pattern? Use the same old flex plate?

                        No votes for the LS1?
