Strangely I was invited to one. And they were dead serious.
Even more strange is several others invited me to one. It's a Bring Your Own Koran party. I'm kosher with it I guess. at first I thought that's stupid or that they weren't serious.
Turns out they're having a BBQ, a bon fire, beer everything. So what the hell why not? I don't give a rat's ass for the damned thing, it's a stack of paper and ink with copyright protections from a publishing company you can buy at Walmart for 3.99$
Who the hell cares, people have been burning bibles, wiping their ass with them for years. Hell one guy, made a sculpture of Jesus Christ on the cross made out of human fecies and even managed to have it displayed across the street from the biggest church in New York city and it was hailed and reveled as art. People flocked from miles to see it.
We're also playing pin the beard on muhammed. If someone is offended by that, I think that's their problem not mine. I would probably have written this kind of behavior off as neo-nazi type until recently.
It's like that episode of southpark. Up until now, Islam has been "untouchable" in society. It's time we start dirtying it up a bit, because nothing should be beyond scrutiny.
I suppose silly, that I would find a unique wisdom in an episode of South Park.

Congrats on being a religious extremist! That party is really no different than the Islamic extremists. At least you aren't being violent?
