Based on a 40hr week thats 96K per year. After taxes thats about $76K...still a fuck load but still not enough to talk about it IMO. I just dont like it when people talk about money or wealth. Plus its like a general rule that when someone says they make $X you can take 20-25% off of that. Also seems odd that a company pays someone 100K/yr based on an hourly wage...IMO anyways.

I had a deal to trade it for a boat. A few days before we were going to leace to do the trade I came to my senses and decided I didnt need a boat. Jessica likes driving the Vette and will probably use it more than we would have used the boat.

It's the epitome of irrelevance and arrogance.

He didn't say he gets paid the $50, just that's his companies fee for him

...still nothing to really brag about.

Not that odd if you're a consultant, I know several people that get billed hourly and make well more then that...however, there are 2080 work hours in a year, so do your math again champ.

the tcpw work i've seen is worse than the work my friend has done out of his garage with a 200$ gun and his old stove. not to say that the tcpw guy isnt capable of doing a great job, i think he's just trying to move too fast sometimes. imo.

I do have a short fuse when it comes to friends, family, things I take pride in, like my car my meets and so on. Is this hard for anyone to understand. I felt cornered and left without an option but to defend.

Yes I stuck up for Jeremy. He has been good for the meets, has done good work on my car, and lot's of other car owners in my circle. Why would I not speak up, and defend someone I respect when I see someone bad mouthing him?

I'll give you more background on me since you seem to want to keep posting about me.

I donate my time, items, and money to charity, good causes and anything worthy.
I do consider the meet to fit in that statement. I spend countless hours of mt time, and my own money to make these meets happen, to better them and will continue to do so. The reason you aren't understanding is simple. We give the young guys (yes a lot have small liter cars without big wallets) a chance to hang out with the middle aged guys, and the old guys too. Why? Because we all love cars. I'm an enthusiast, not an elitist. It's free for the public. You don't think it's cool, fine. I do. You think the 30-40 imports we have are all rice, fine. A lot of them are hella fast, and I can respect anything that's quick. It's really about getting out, and being able to just have fun. No registration, no fees, just hang out and talk cars. I know you've been to a meet, cause I don't have a clue who you are, yet you know everything about me, lol and you can't sit there and say even half the cars are rice by any ones definition even yours. If you did, you would just be lying.

I'm the type of loyal guy who knew he would be flamed here for sticking up for Jeremy and did it anyway.

I'm the guy who buys new wheels, gets a PM from a member I hardly know asking what my plans were for my 17 inch chrome Zr1 rims and tires. I tell him I haven't thought about it. He tells me to look into it and get back to him. I dig in some forums and such, find them priced between 500 and 800 depending on whether they had tires how good they were. I told him $300 just to make sure he got a good deal.
He never responds to my returned message. I run into him again at the meet. He apologized for not getting back to me. He had thought it over, and decided it wasn't the right time for him to buy. He had just had a baby. It wasn't that he didn't have the money, he was just plain being responsible. I liked his honesty. So I gave them to him, for a simple promise to do me a favor sometime.

You want to hate on me for this go ahead. You've hated on me for so many other stupid reasons, feel free, you're the man right? You can talk shit about my weight, my money, my car meet, whatever floats your boat. Best part is besides my "fat ass" you haven't really a clue.

You take your board of entertainment, I'll take my car meets and "cult of ricer" lmao any day.

As for the 9 sec vert, if I make it happen cool! If not you'll have one more thing to hate on me for. Either way it's a win win for me. Ya see, even negative publicity, is publicity. You can hate all you want, I encourage it. It has brought over tons of people to the very meet you try and bash. They come to make fun of the ricers and have a good laugh, they stay for the big HP cars, classics, vettes, cobra's, unique and even the occasional ricer, so meh they still get that laugh. They keep coming back to, so keep up the good work man. I'll take the help from wherever I can get it, intentional or otherwise.

                          /rant

Have a good holiday weekend guys. I will be, the core group of 30 or so are having a bbq at Jeremy's house. His "broke ass" is throwing it for us lol.
Troy, I don’t quite understand why you would post something like this.

IMO, there are some fundamental issues with the way you go about advertising for your meets that contribute to the controversy. One is your persistent presence and taking over threads that have little if nothing to do about you or your meets. It might be different if you were an established member on these sites and were asking people to help with the numbers. There are many other people advertising their shows but don’t draw nearly as much attention to their club, shows or themselves.

Sticking up for others or advocating for them is a great thing to do sometimes, but I’m not sure if you are aware of of what many others here know (or have experienced) which imo leaves you at a disadvantage, and may even appear to others as being biased simply on association and not on principle.

I also don’t see a lot of people following your story about giving away rims worth hundreds of dollars. I’ve given away things as well but would be hard pressed to have a reason to post about it since imo that takes away from the very reason for doing so. I also feel that others might see it as simply self promotion or trying to gain empathy.

IMO, you need to realize that you have put yourself in a position of having earned a high profile as a car show organizer and along with that the money that flows through such shows. I’ve seen a lot of random posts stating how there isn’t money for things and others even asking for money but as someone here posted earlier; what about the money from the sponsors? They stated that the post was deleted instead of replying about something that I’m sure a lot of people would like to know. If there is any doubt, most people simply aren’t going to believe otherwise.

Here are a couple of basic concepts that I’ve seen for car shows and websites:
Some businesses will pay $400-$500 for a club to put on a decent car show. If they make direct sales the same night as would a bar or restaurant then they make more on top of that.
The more people that visit and/or post on a website brings in more money from sponsors. Website sponsorships can run from $100-$1500 or more a year locally.

Even if no one is taking in that kind of money the value of such is still there which imo is the context in what you’re doing as a person in your position.

IMO if you’re not seeing money like that then either you’re not doing it right or someone else is. I can’t change the fundamentals of how websites/car shows work I’m just telling you how it is.

Sorry if it’s not what you want to hear but I’m just trying to help.
