302 TFS Heads 300 rwhp For Sale

The motor came out of my 1987 LX hatchback. It ran 12.30's @ 110 mph at a race weight of 3100 lbs. It utilizes the original block from the car and made 299.9 rwhp and 314.5 rwtq on Hi-tech's dyno with their tune. This motor was assembled and dyno'd (chassis dyno'd) in 2003 and has less than 15,000 miles on it. The car was mostly driven on the street. Here's what's included:

    TFS Track Heat Aluminum Heads
    TFS Track Heat Intake
    AFM N-4 cam .512" lift intake 222 deg. intake dur. @ .050"
    .512" lift exhaust 230 deg. exh. dur. @ .050"
lift is with 1.6 rockers and it has a 110 deg. lobe separation (rough idle-sounds cool)

    TFS Valve Covers
    Taylor Spark Plug wires
    3924 Autolite Spark Plugs
    Edelbrock Victor Water Pump
    Fel-Pro gaskets
    FRPP smog pump eliminator bracket
March A/C and P/S eliminator bracket
    TFS 1.6 Roller Rockers
TFS 6.7"? (whatever they recommend) pushrods
    Adjustable fuel pressure regulator
    Pro-M Mass Air Flow Sensor
    24 lb. injectors
Autologic flip chip with 3 tune capability tuned by Hi-tech
    Mass Air Conversion harness
    MAC Cold Air Intake
New Ford Idle Air Control Valve and TPS
    Ford Motorsport Roller Lifters
    New timing chain
    Lifetime warranty starter
Accufab Throttle Body and EGR spacer
    ARP head bolts
    MSD cap and rotor
BBK chrome shorty unequal length headers
    MSD blaster 2 coil
    new oil pump
    New rod and main bearings
    Moly Rings
Block was honed at this time
    New cam bearings
    ARP oil pump drive
    Energy Suspension engine mounts
    Engine harness

This total assembly could be dropped into a mustang or a street rod as everything 302 related goes with it. Engine is strong. Timeslips prove it. Raced 3 times in 2004, 3 times in 2005 and once in 2006. I'm making room for a new setup. $3000 obo

Yes. Rods and pistons (forged) are stock. When I had it apart Tim and I discovered a hairline crack in one of the crank journals so I bought a new stock crankshaft for it.

Just to let anyone know that's interested in this, I've got over $5500 in parts alone for what's in this thing. That doesn't count the motor mounts either. It will literally bolt into a car with a stock setup and run very well.

Paul and Kenny, I'll just say that I'm making room for "bigger" and better things.

I'd be interested in the heads if you ever consider parting it out.

I will not be parting out the motor. If it doesn't sell it's going into my 1970 maverick but I could use some cash for this project at the moment.

NAZISALEEN, after seeing how many stock shortblock motors are out there making over 500 rwhp (I knew of 5 at one point-dyno proven) I decided not to spend my money their. The motor doesn't make power past 5700 rpm according to Hi-tech's dyno so I never spin it past 6,000. The shift light comes on at 5700 and the recall says 6000 usually. To be honest, the only 5.0L I've seen blow up was the one in Kenny's car that made 604 rwhp and it broke the crank. Nick

Just kiddin' around Nick. I saw the opening and had to. No seriously, Nick's motor runs and sounds awsome! I am sure by the time I get done with mine, I'll wonder why I didn't buy his.

There was actually two people on here interested. Unfortunately neither one got it. "I Tried's" dad called me last night and is paying for it today. I got a cell phone message from someone this morning (from last night) that said they'd take it. Tim's dad was the first to call so he got it. Sorry. I will let him know though because he's not going to put it in until next winter, if he changes his mind. Nick
