80 Cobra Mustang

This car is owned by one of the customers I deliver to in my delivery area. She's not sure what she should ask for it. Originally the 4cyl. turbo but has a 302/5speed now. 90k on car on, and she said the 302 only has 5k on it. Problem is that the last time it was driven was a long time ago. The last tabs on the plates are 97. I got some pics of the outside. I need to ask her tomorrow if she does have the chin spoiler because it's missing. I looked it over closely on the outside and under for rust---none. Original metallic orange paint is faded, 1 soft crease on drivers side I know pdr can easily remove. No other door dings.Hardtop. Has the matching orangish tan houndstooth interior(at least that's what I call it). An extremely straight rust free car that needs some attention to be road ready again after a long hiatus. I'll try to get the keys so I can get some pics of the V8 to see how it was done tomorrow and to get better shots of the interior without the windows in the way. Actually now that I look at the pics it looks more like some sort of metallic brown. Also a small chip on the bottom of the rear spoiler. I'll talk to her more to get an idea of the price she's thinking of.

Like I said, I'll see if I can get a price range out of her tomorrow. She just told me"best offer" today but I don't want to insult her. If you insult someone sometimes it's hard to make a deal after that so I'd like to hear the first figure from her and I'll go from there. You can see it has personalized plates and she said they've had several Mustangs over the years so maybe you guys can pm me what you think is a fair offer.

A couple more. Weird options to start with. Originally the turbo4 with no AC and it has the rear wiper. I guess it looks like your usual V8 swap, it needs a few items like a fan shroud I told her and just a general straightening out and cleaning up. She said her husband ordered it specifically without AC. 84K on the car. The interior is decent, pad on door armrest a little cracked and missing shifter boot and or console, headliner material falling. She wants to look on the internet for some pricing. I mentioned looking I was browsing lastnight and seen prices range from about 1,700 on down to 5 or 600 for comparable cars. The color actually looks like a copper metallic.

$1700 is too optimistic. Maybe if it had the original turbo 4 in there but a non running V8 with a missing frint air dam that costs a good chunk of change and general messiness all around it is not worth that much. $500ish is reasonable.

By the way, I'm not trying to snake it at a low price. I just have a few 4 eyes and have paid attention to the pricing out there.

Doesn't say it doesn't run. Just that it hasn't been driven since '97.

Yeah, it needs some stuff. I think I'd get a new engine harness. I hate ugly wiring. I went on sitemash and I couldn't believe what some were asking for complete trash though. One other thing, I checked for replacement tires for those TRX rims... Holy Cowww! they think they've got you by the balls if you want to replace those tires!
