And for what it's worth, I've had PLENTY of cars that I drove TO and FRO the strip without them all being purty trailer queens that ran under 12 seconds that WERE safe as per NHRA and wisconsin state rules.
Better safe then dead.

It would suck if the only place you can run your car was on 280 and cfr!

I mean if you have that is cool but if you haven't your just guessing. Stopping at 112 and 124 there is a difference I have done both at that track and others. I just said I had to brake pretty hard as in compared to stopping on the street not that I had any problems stopping. I still have ABS which is another safety item you will not find on 98% of drag cars so if there was a problem in the other lane I can still get on the brakes and steer the car out of the way, hey that makes the other driver safe right?
