    spindle differences

What are the differences between 85 and 91 spindles? I ask because on this 85 the struts will not fit on the spindles. I believe Macs stangs car is a 91 or around there and I may need to find some spindles that'll work.
    god damned tinypic.

The four eyed cars came with 4 cylinder style brakes, even on the V8 cars. Aero cars were the first that had the 11" rotors on the front.

"The '87-'93 V8 spindle is THINNER (about ¼") where the strut bolts to it. The '87-'93 base (four cylinder) models' and all '79-'86 models' spindle is the same.

To use struts with wider mounting brackets (i.e.all '79-'86 models and '87-'93 base models), you need spacers to take up the gap on '87-'93 V8 spindles. Most replacement struts include the spacers. Saves having to make two different part numbers for '79-'93."

Yeah, vehicle has 85 spindles as it's an 85, the struts are used from a member with an 87+. So need to locate 87+ spindles.

You are correct, sir. The car is a '91. Didn't know there was a difference with the spindles. I would think Mark would want a brake upgrade anyways with his new power plant.
