I just sent mine in to BG. All I had to pay was parts. They even paid return shipping.

I think it was in the $40-$60 range. I figure if they rebuild them for free I'll pay the shipping. also they flow test them.

and if Jon told you they are out of business he's full of shit. He told me the same thing so I called them and they just laughed. filing chapter X bankruptcy doesn't equal out of business.

If I had to guess, Jon is probably telling people this because he was sick and tired of dealing with there absolute horsehit customer service. Not to mention the fact that anything with the Barry Grant name on it is also horseshit. Don't believe it, look around on the bullet.

do some searching and youll find a part number for a seal kit if you wanna tackle the rebuild yourself, but like that 289 guys said- if you send it in to BG theyll most likely do it for next to nothing.

most everyone on YB hates BG, do a few searches on there, sift thru all the hatred and youll find the answer.

yeah im trying to decide between buying his pump and rebuilding mine later or sending it to bg to have as a backup or upgrade to the magnafuel like i really want to do.

if the price is right i think itd be a good idea. but the magnafuel is supposedly a pretty badass pump, that doesnt leak.

I'm certainly not a BG fan. This is the only BG product I have and it took a shit right away but the 2nd one is going strong so . I didn't have bad customer experience in my 1 interaction. I sent it in with the appropriate form. they called me the next week and told me what was wrong and how much it would be. I gave them my CC and received working pump a week later.

There, I fixed it for you. In all seriousness, I've got a magnafuel pump on my car and I've been very happy with it. I called Magnafuel when I redid my fuel system this year to see if we could mount the pump on it's side instead of vertical. They said it can be mounted in any position. There were signs of it seeping last year and when we laid it on it's side it started leaking (after sitting all winter). We were able to get it fixed but it took 3 tries before it would stop. We run one pump for our engine and nitrous fuel systems and it has worked very well so far.
