I have a manual tranny in my 00 GT. Recently its been sticking in reverse. On most instances i can get it to come out, but last night I backed it into the garage and it will not come out of reverse. In the past I have been able to roll the car back and it would pop out. When i push the clutch in i can get it to come out of reverse but not completely. It feels like its stuck between reverse and nuetral (dont think thats possible). I can shift smoothly through the rest of the gears. I have a MGW short throw on it. I took the shifter a part last night and it looks fine. It started acting up a last year. I changed the tranny fluid to Royal Purple syncromax and it seemed to help for the past few weeks. I tried reseting the clutch (holding it up), I removed my floor mat and the clutch seems to be all the way in. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

this is why you cant have nice things.Originally posted by Slow35th View PostMine did that a long time ago. Id back up "aggressive" and it would get stuck where id have to punch it forward. Does this happen just gently backing up?

I dont back up too aggresively... im usually just coasting because the only time i really use reverse is when i back into the garage. Trying not to back into the lawn mower. I does come out easier if i start the car and go in reverse about 5 feet and slip it out of reverse. However, It seems to be sticking more now. I have to give it a quick hit upward to get it to pop out and this afternoon that didnt work. Its now sitting i the garage in reverse.
