    trailer loading question

allright i have everything loaded in the trailer (4 wheeler, toolbox, excuse generator, fuel, oil, fridge, ect) but the car as of now. im guessing there is 1500lb in the front of it right now. would i be safe loading the car backwards to get alittle weight off the front, or should i just load it forwards like normal. car weighs about 3400lb's so im guessing backwards it will still have more weight towards the front of the trailer.

anyone else do this without issues. im new to enclosed trailers and dont want to be reloading it on the side of the road or in a parking lot.

its a 24ft with a 2ft v nose, and im pulling with a 2007 1/2 ton chevy. i have load lever hitch and helper bags in the truck if i end up needing them also

i would still park it conventionally. you want and need tonque weight to elimnate death wobble. if i can pull my 4500 lb buick with an explorer you should be ok.

I personally would back it in and try that, it sounds like otherwise there would be a lot of tongue weight but you may need to experiment the first time and see what the truck likes and can handle. sounds like you need a 3/4 or 1 ton truck...lol. Good luck and drive safe. sounds like you'll have plenty of tongue weight with all the gear and the wheeler.

maybe ill try it and see how nose heavy it is compared to with just the gear in the front. should be able to mesure squat vs angle to see.

Where is the car going to sit compared to the axles? How far the weight leverages off the axles will determine where you want the load.

Car should sit right over the axel

                          Back it in.

Unless yours is a gooseneck, there aren't very many ball mounts that can handle 1500+ lbs of tongue weight plus you'll be driving with your nose in the air.

I've towed pickup trucks backed in on my 18 foot trailer and it tows just fine.
When we got to my place, I already had a candle burning. It was by "Glade", which I think you pronounce like the singer Sade, because it is an exotic candle that smells just like real pine.

Pull it in forward first. You will be fine and would rather have more tounge weight/drop than death wobble at highway speeds by putting too much weight rearward.

I put alot of weight on the front of my trailer and is rock solid even at 90mph and windy...I do have a 3/4 ton so that helps. Why not put the 4 wheeler in last/back?
