Are the mounting bosses on ford 5.0 blocks different on any years or should i be able to use any mounts to install in a mustang?Any benefit to using convertible mounts on a non convertible?

All 302 blocks mount the same. The convertible mounts are wrap around mounts (the steel wraps around the rubber) and are stronger.

Since you are talking 5.0 they will be the same. If you are putting a 5.0 in say a 1965 Mustang you will find the old block mounts are about 1" shorter. I am not sure what year it changed but my 1966 289 block has the narrower mounts.

not to mention whenever they did away with the 5 bolt bell housing/ block(not that that has anything to do with mounts but..)
