9" question (stud related)

Can I replace 2 broken studs with the axle still in?

I dont want to wreck the bearing by whacking at it with a hammer, but if they come out easily I'll just go after it.

Im trying not to remove the nuts holding the axle in because they are really rusted, they might come out but I dont want to twist one off.

Ideas....?

A wheel stud? Just pound it out, your not going to hurt it.
