OTHER THAN HAVING A STIFFER RIDE IS THE BULLITT SUSPENSION WORTH THE INSTALL IN MY 97 GT CONV? I HAVE LOOKED INTO ALOT OF DIFFERENT SYSTEMS AND I LIKE THE BULLITT SUSPENSION FOR ITS 1 INCH DROP, STIFFER SPRINGS AND A REP A AT FORD RACING SAID IT WILL FIT BUT HE HAS NO CLUE OF THE OUT COME AS NO ONE HAS DONE IT TO HIS KNOWLEDGE. I DONT MIND BEING BEING THE FIRST ,IF I AM, TO DO THIS BUT DOES ANY ONE HAVE ANY OPINIONS ON THIS. ANYTHING IS BETTER THAN MY OWN PURE SPECULATION ABOUT IT. THANKS

Don't wast your money on it, unless you just want a cheap decent upgrade. I did one on a 95 a while back and it only netted about .5in drop all the way around. Ride quality was nice, and handling was improved, but if your looking to get that "lowered" look. Your not going to get it with the bullet kit...Honestly the only way we could tell it was even lower was because we measured before and after. It was even hard to tell in the before and after pics.I send myself PM's so I roll with a full inbox! Sweet35th style!

What he said; you're better off getting B or C springs. Bs if you like the softer ride and want to keep the stock(like) struts/shocks, C's if you want the stiffer ride and get some shocks and struts like the Bullitt/mach tokicos.
And you don't need the swaybars from the bullitt kit.Originally posted by punchSFC is a bag of stupid.Capitalization is the difference between helping your uncle Jack off a horse & helping your uncle jack off a horse.

Actually im not much a fan of the C-springs, but I think that is because I am spoiled by my Steeda Sport springs. They dropped almost as much as the C-springs but ride MUCH better IMO.Originally posted by Fosters View PostWhat he said; you're better off getting B or C springs. Cap locks off now. Sorry 'bout that. My goals for the car are to have a hella lot better handling drop top than it is.Had a 95 coupe before this one and the switch to a convertible the handling just isn't there. So adding sub frames when i do the suspension and maybe a 4 or 6pt.cage. other than the bullitt suspension idea seems like a flop, I recently looked into Steeda sport springs and Eibach pro kit springs/ and damper kit. Both are tempting and definitley an upgrade over my present noodle like handling. Dont mind spending money on a good suspension. I have used Steeda parts in the past and some Saleen parts too (they are pompus asses when you call 'em). I live where tar is not on all the roads so dont wanna drop it too far. No more than 1.5".

Then it sounds like you need to head to maximummotorsports.com. Order a set of Biltein shocks and struts along with H&R race springs. You're correct in thinking lowering the car any more than 1.5" would be deleterious as well; the stock suspension geometry would throw the center of gravity below ground. If you want in depth analysis of mustang suspension, log on to corner carvers.Last edited by KickAssFlash; 03-21-2010, 01:41 AM.

Thank you i will look there to see what i can find.
Would upgrading my stock "A" arms to the newer 03 cobra style also be beneficial if added to an aftermarket suspension like from maximum motorsports, or would going with more of a tubular style be tetter. or leave them alone and stick with the ones i have.
