    How to improve the ride?

Hi - I recently acquired a very nice 90 GT and whenever I hit a bump or go bouncing across seams in the road, I practically get thrown out of the car. What can I do to improve the "ride"...new shocks, struts, etc??? It has 82,000 miles on it and I assume they are the originals. Where's a good place to take it to have work like that done?

    I appreciate your input.

Is the car lowered? As in, does it have lowering springs installed? Often times when lowering a car, the stock suspension can't keep up with the new spring rate, and makes it ride very harsh.

Some nice aftermarket shocks and struts would really help. Also some sub frame connectors. Shocks and struts are relatively cheap, and would be your best bet for improved ride quality. I recommend Tokico's for the best bang for the buck.

Shocks and struts are easy to install if you wanted to do it yourself. Or, check with any of the site sponsors.

Remove factory suspension pieces, install aftermarket pieces with spherical bushings, install 20" wheels, (60 psi in the tires) and pick up a set of eibach sportline springs and use the factory shocks.

this, but recommend solid bushings vs any polys, etc... remove the factory shocks all together, they are just added weight.
