    !!HELP!! drive train vibration.

i have a 91 stang 5.0 5speed. has the normal bolt ons (cold air, intake, headers, and throttle body). it has a vibration coming from the drive train. it starts when the car is going 70+mph. engine rpms dont change the vibration. same with pressing the brakes/clutch. woundering if anyone can help pinpiont the problem. and or has had this problem before.

    Tires.

I would get to 70 and shut off the motor in neutral, still hear the noise? If so, have tires balanced, you may have lost a wheel weight.

    Go to Norm's tire!

      U-joints?

How fast is the vibration? Is it more of a buzzing speed(like a sub woofer), or a shake(like a wheel weight)?

no noise just vibration. tires were just put on so dont think its that. i have heard of people having odd vibrations and putting an after market drive shaft on and taking care of it.

if the car has been lowered you may need to adjust pinion angle to fix this concern.
it's almost allstock! except the wheels.

see if you can borrow a different drive shaft and just swap it. unless you find you have a bad u-joint.

If you didn't have vibration before and you just put on new tires, I'd start there...

This. I had a messed up driveshaft do that, only mine did it from 85mph on up.

I throw the stock ones in the scrap pile. I may have one though.
