Has anyone got any info on using a factory efi set up in a non EFI car. I want to use a 351 roller efi motor in my Capri and i am wondering if it is a waste of time and how hard it is to do.

I am just wondering how hard it is going to be to do the swap. I have most of the parts but not sure if I should use a fox mass air set up or just find a used efi set up. I want to put a vortec on it someday.Originally posted by kineda View Posti dont see why you couldnt just string the wiring around like it is in a fox?slower than a dead snail

I did a fox mass air swap on my old 85 gt. It was pretty easy to do. I bet you could find something online about the swap. Mainly you're just getting power to the computer, and running the fuel system. If you can get a complete under hood harness, that will make it a lot easier. I didn't have to pull the dash out at all, most of the wire splicing was done up near the brake booster. Of course I did it the easy way and left the old wiring harness under the hood and it looked terrible, but worked great.

you should still be able to get at the through firewall wiring for the computer in the passenger side as well as the kick panel for the computer. the drivers side may be a bit cumbersome but you used to be a chinese acrobat if i remember correctly so i am sure you will manage.Originally posted by 2000 roush View PostIn front

Its not too hard Jason did it and swapped the entire dash too. The holes are all there even. Look around on the web and you will find the fox mass air is used on many diffrent setup due to its tunability and costOriginally posted by 2000 roush View PostOne of my main concerns is that i can't pull the dash out because of the cage

its a piece of cake... but I have all ready told you that... and I already told you that I would do it for you... just get the engine in there and say when... hardest part is the fuel system... but that still easy.
