    Stock Fox accesories help needed.

Hello fine gentlemen. I am in need of help.

I am attempting to put back together a fox mustang I bought in pieces. my other car/s are far from stock (v-belts, chevy alt, elec pumps). I am up to the front accessories. This car has a stock water pump, Power steering, and alternator. No smog or AC.

I have a whole pile of parts in the corner. What would help me is if somebody near Forest lake had a stock fox or if somebody could post accessory pics of thier stock car or car with a similar configuration to mine.

It can only really go together one way. There is a big aluminum bracket that goes on the passenger side head which holds the alternator and tensioner. The Power steering goes on the driver side, again mounting to the front of the head.

I have a whole pile of parts in the corner and I don't know if I even have all the brackets. basically I need to bolt the tensioner, alternator and P/S pump onto the motor. If I had another car or a picture to reference it would help. It's been quite a few years since I messed with a stock setup on a ford.

that's a good idea. I need a tensioner anyways and maybe brackets.

I have a few pictures of early 80's set up so I would remember how some parts went on. Probably with AC. They will be over 2 meg and pm me an email address if you want them.
Some of the Tbirds used the same brackets if you are looking.

I'm now realizing the setup is not stock. There is a march alum bracket for the alternator that mounts to the head and 2 WP bolts. This relocates the alternator. I looked at a stock setup this morning and realized this. I need to check with march to see how this is designed to work. because this bracket won't work with the stock tensioner bracket.

You could make your own brackets:

I hand made the Alternator bracket and powersteering bracket. I bought the stupid idler pulley bracket even though a third grader could make it.

FYI, the ribbed idler pulley itself is the idler pulley off of a 95 contour V6 (just happend to have it in the garage when I needed it)

Get a standard rotation water pump and a pulley from a late 80's to 91 crown vic and use your stock tensioner or get rid of the tensioner and use alternator brackets similar to v-belt style to get the adjustment. Go here for a picture. http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y237/w2zero/fromps.jpg

                        I saw this at Fordmuscle

Decent idea, although the wires are hideous looking coming from the alternator, thus why I flipped mine upside down. This is of course if one cares about how their engine looks.

Oh Yea? If you cared about how it looks you would wipe that spec of dust off the lower intake. Your set up does look good. I like how it is lower. Nice work.

starting to sort this out. I have the alt. bracket and tensioning rod shown here. I don't have anything except stock brackets for the PS pump.
