Run 2 Switches, with 2 Fuses.Originally posted by taank View Posti could measure amp draw

IF you blow the Fuse, and IF you dont have one, your stuck. You may lose a motor.
Its Really not that much more work...Just run 2 fuses/lines/switches. Its no more difficult that wiring in 1 switch.

why would i run two switches? thats an over abundance of wiring. its a simple circuit. why over complicate things with what ifs? i have this magical thing called a temp gauge. if if starts to overheat and my relay fails and my toggle switch fails and i'm sitting in traffic . guess what i'll shut the motor off
problem solved.

The dual fans from an SVT contour are on an 80 amp...Originally posted by svonasek View Post40 amps should be more then enough to run two fans.
What size wire is coming off the fans? To get a true 40 amps you would have to use 8 gauge.
Not saying... just saying..
However, they are multi speed, so that may be why.
I have personally had to replace the 80 amp, in the under hood box, more than once, because of a single fan failing and over drawing...
