500 at the tire on an s trim is easy with an aftermarket set of heads and intake. E85 on a carb, blow through or not, sure. You bettcha.Comment

I've got a 306 long block in the back of the garage with a forged bottom end, 185 AFR's, comp cam, studded top and bottom end with main girttle 10.5CR.
just thinking it might work well as a E85 blow threw with 7-8 lbs'ish...?Comment

my roomate has an E-85 CSU blow-thru carb. and S-trims are good for around 500-550 rwhp. People have made more..1993 Titanium Cobra (1 of never)
AFR 165s, Cobra intake, FTI cam. NX N20
Best ET 11.2 @ 123 on the 100 shot.

10.5:1 is pretty high for boost, even on E85. Ask Nazisaleen, he had a hell of a bout with high compression and boost on pump gas.Comment

I tell you what. You take that forged 306 and buy my whole top end heads, intake, s trim, injectors, etc and you can make 500 all day long on some leaded stuff. Smells good too. Or upgrade your lines and pump and run E85 and make 500 on that.Comment
