    Coil Spring Isolators

I'm installing H&R Super Sports in a '92 LX hatch. I have a new set of the poly isolators and they seem too snug to fit over the upper spring perch (front). Is there a certain way to get them on? I was thinking about beveling the inner surface to get them started then letting the floor jack and spring just mash them up there. Figured I'd check here first.

Alternatively, I was reading on another thread in here about eliminating them for even more drop. Does this result in squeaks, or any metal on metal noises? Any suggestions for a thin layer of durable material to place between them if this is the hot set up? BTW--new Bilsteins going on too.

    Thanks.

Heard of using heater hose for such things.
I would try to get what you have to work first though.

I haven't had isolators on my car in about 6 years. I never noticed any noises or excess harshness.
My couch pulls out but I don't.
