    DAmN, owned even further

    Well, it seems my car has taken yet another turn for the worst. Its knocks a few light times on dry startups. It still gets 60psi on startup and no less than 20 at idle when its hot.

    I love the car to death but this is really bringing me down. Another thing is the constant worry when I park it in public places. I came very close to beating someones ass because they needed convincing that 10" of space between their truck and my car was unreasonable and they needed to move because I couldnt fucking get in without hitting my door! Can you imagine if I wasnt there? Yup, that POS would have surely gave me a dent without a care in the world about it!
    Im having drivability issues with it as well. I was thinking that its plugged cats from running unholy rich. So I have a shotgun list of parts waiting to go in................

    Mac longtubes, or H
    new O2s
    High torque starter
    255 walbro HP fp
    power pulleys
    mark 8 fan
    Mass air conversion
    373 gears

    All of this just sitting around and now this! Im trying to decide which way to go here. Im thinking of selling all the parts and trading this pig in for a Jacked up Dogde Ram with 38" tires and an 11" lift. No one will park close to that because I will step on their hood as I get in

    So basically Im fucking broke and in need of sanity and a motor that wont quit like this one wants to.

    I was told I could get a crank kit for 150$?

    Id be willing to change out bearings at this point!

    Your thoughts?

      Let's try to do this a bit more methodically.

      Are there any codes from the computer?

      What is your Base Fuel pressure set at? (Should be 39 psi with no vacuum to the regulator)

      What's your Base Timing at? (Should be 10* with the SPOUT unplugged)

      When did the problems start? Before or after the MAF conversion? If after, did you make sure to unplug the BAP from the vacuum tree?

        It sounds like oyu might have something as simple as a bad fuel pressure regulator.

            sounds like your mains are going, i would look into a rering and bearing along with a new oil pump, dont worry i am in the same boat as you with my 350,000 motor

                  na, I havent gotten around to getting it yet. I did howeever install the Mac Longs and catless H. God damn I love that sound. the shortblock can wait, I may have to give it something better than stock upper parts before it goes in

                        I guess its possible it could have a dead spot. I have to check it with that fluke. I was going to sell this car but the knock doesnt come back at startup anymore. This car sounds great! Lilstang, I owe you
