    Knocking

Hey, my friend has a '98 Mustang GT with the PI head upgrade. It has about 100K miles on it. This week it developed a knocking noise that is noticeable all the way through the RPM range. I'm thinking it's a rod knock. I just want to know what it all takes to fix this problem.

if it's a rod knock, new rod bearings and possible crank turn.

so all it would need is new bearings?

Does anybody know how much it would cost if he brought it to a shop?

You don't know the extent of the damage and what caused it until you get in there.

trade it in after you add gear lube to the oil.
