Anyone here have a promotion t-45? I hear they can handle up to 750 hp and a lot cheaper than buying a tko 500/600. Let me know how you like them and how much it ended up costing (+shipping).

I have one in my car. Was abotu $1750 if I recall correctly. I got their blue-printed high-rev clutch along with it. With Walts recomendation I also stayed with my 10.5in clutch. So I am running a stock flywheel. I believe the trans and clutch shipped was right about $2100.

The clutch is AWSOME, and the tranny shifts just like a stock unit. So far I have had no problems with it at all. And I have been VERY hard on it. Time will tell the true tale, but I have no complaints with it at all. And it shifts much nicer than a TKO tranny.

Cause they are a dirrect bolt in for 96-2000 cars. No changes required at all.

Vrs going to a TKO, you need a new shifter (the tremec one is crappy), and a new bellhousing. Which are expensive. Not too add, there is some modification required for the trans crossmember. Not a big deal, but it needs to be addressed.

So you just ship them a core and they send you the upgrade? I have a new king cobra clutch that I've had sitting around, so the promotion deal seems like a decent deal. With prices of the tko's constantly going up, $1700 doesn't seem bad.

The promotion tranny is 26spline input shaft, so if thats a regular KingCobra clutch it will not work (aka 10spline).

I ordered the tranny, they charged me a core. Sent my old one back in, and they refunded the core.

I agree with everything casey said, though the cost may have gone up $100 or so? Shipping the core was super easy; they paid for the shipping and took it out of the core price, which was paid fast. I only have like 600 miles on mine, but it shifts great, and the clutch is great too. I went with an aluminum flywheel though since i hate money.

hey thanks for the input guys. definitely an option to consider. i've also been pricing out some used t-56's, some good deals on those as well.

i don't have much left of the freek, just the t-trim. now that'll make more POWER real fast .

well know matter what car he puts it on its not like it will run this year... so wil you rent it to me and lee can buy it after im done with it.... or when ever hes ready...

anyway you would consider a partial trade with the explorer as a dp...

i heard great things about the promotion. i was gonna get one, but came across a brand new(in the wooden crate from ford) T-56 for $1000. so i am going that route.
