install a pair of shorty headers on my 92 5.0, will I be able to put back all the smog stuff on the pass side? Its a low milage car and all that stuff still works.

Yes the shorty headers bolt directly in and the smog pipe still fits

If it all still works I would remove it and put it on the shelf. Smog stuff from then is extremely restrictive.I can understand the reason for keeping it on but with no emission testing why keep it.

Unless you are upgrading the whole system the shorties would not do anything. The four stock cats restrict a lot of sound

Want more sound, just get an off-road h-pipe. I think that would be the cheapest, but not the best, way to get more sound.

Yeah Orange, your right, there are factory shorties on it and a flowmaster 21/2" cat back. Probably best going with the H-pipe, toss the cats. Just don't want to be too loud for me.

The shorties that they Mustags come with have a nice pinch in them. There is a sound difference that I noticed going from the stock headers to my Mac equal length shorties.
