I have a 98 mustang coupe to be painted. body is in great shape other than the hood which had a few dents in the front. I was wondering how much it would cost to have the whole car repainted black. the paint is meh, which is why i want to get it repainted. i was looking around a low ball of 350.

i have been looking around and if you want cheap go maaco
they do almost nothing to prep and all they do is tape and spray (will last 1-3 years if lucky)
the best way i have looked in to getting a car painted is sand it down and primer it then take it in to a Maaco or a good shop and they will paint it and it should stay good for 5+ years.
all the place over 2k+ cost so much because they sand and prep but it is the only way u can get it perfect and with a warranty.

JJ, when I did rust repair and prep to one of my cars, paint shops wouldn't paint it as they wouldn't paint cars unless they did the prep. So, I painted it myself. Didn't look bad..Comment

Like i said before i just wanted to see what people on here that could paint would charge for it or if it was around that area.
