Tweecer R/T vs. SCT Pro Racer

Pros and cons on each? My truck was originally tuned with the SCT Pro Racer software and a Livewire.... I've got the opportunity to buy it for $600 bucks. I see I can pick up a Tweecer R/T for under $500 though... I've already got a wideband on the truck.

I know nothing about either, so learning curve doesn't bother me either way. I'm just looking for any opinions/experiences with either or.

Just sold my SCT ProRacer for $400 to a buddy. It is easy to use. I've looked at Tweecer but never tried to tune with it.

Honestly though, unless you are constantly changing shit on the motor you don't need to be in there messing with it all the time. My Proracer sat around all last year and I never broke it out. Besides, the dongle is locked to a PCM code and each additional code is like $150. If I was going to spend money on tuning software again, I'd get something that worked on all codes.

But then, I switch to BS3 so I don't have that problem anymore and everyone else with a BS3 can look at my tune and make suggestions.

Regardless of which one you pick, make sure there is someone somewhere that can help you when you need it. Nothing like getting stuck along side the road and the software/laptop takes a shit.

Not happenin' on a mod motor powered vehicle, at least not the ones that have the gauges ran off the pcm.

I like my SCT Pro Racer setup. The Advantage 3.x software is a lot more user friendly.

Ill sell you my SCT stuff for a case of beer, ill even throw in the big ol' "FUCK YOU" they gave me with it when I wanted to upgrade it to the newer version, because THEY QUIT SUPPORTING MY VERSION THAT WAS LESS THAN 1 YEAR OLD!!!!!!!!! Not only that, they wont even give me an unlock code to unlock the program because I had to move it to another computer. SCT got bought out by an investment group and since then their customer service is basically non-existant. (im not bitter with the fuckers at ALL!!!).

If you do decide eventually to go tweecer, I can help you out some as I have one. Next time im at the rents place, ill make a trip up with my laptop and show you Caledit and Calcon so you get some kind of an idea what it looks like.
